Global Guardians: One Earth for All – Project Days for 1st and 2nd Graders

September 15, 2025

In spring and summer 2025, primary school children in Munich and their teachers took part in interactive project days exploring the elements of life. Through experiments, movement games and creative activities, they discovered what unites us all – across cultures, countries, and continents.

Namaste! The school year 2024/2025 is over, and we are happy to share with you this year’s major steps towards the realization of the Global Guardians education system.

In spring and summer 2025, Akasha Academy’s education team offered the One Earth for All (“Eine Erde für Alle”) program to 1st and 2nd graders of two Munich elementary schools.

Hundreds of children, five elements and one Earth

During their school project day, five classes in rotation had the chance to directly experience and interact with the five elements of life – air, water, fire, earth and space.

As these basic elements of nature are with us and around us all the time, the children could easily relate to them. The main purpose of this program was to show children a practical approach to analyzing the world around them, ask questions, wonder, come to their own conclusions and reflect. Through experiments, movement games and creative activities they recognized how the elements exist both within and outside our bodies, and how we are all connected by them. For instance, they observed how water moves, where it comes from and goes to, discovering that ultimately, we all drink the same water – regardless of where we come from or live on this planet. This way, in a playful manner, children could get in touch with their inner scientists, building trust in their own abilities and empathy towards others.

The need for practical education

To empower children to deal with today’s challenges in a meaningful and positive way, there is a growing need for an educational approach that inspires creative thinking, confidence, and compassion, rather than competition and the mere reproduction of information. Getting in touch with the elements gives children the possibility to connect with natural reality and provides a reference point for observation and deduction, which is especially valuable in times of information overload and countless distractions.

The project days 2025 in numbers

This year’s program is a continuation of the Global Guardians pilot program in 2023, now reaching more children and their teachers:

  • On 3 days,
  • in 2 elementary schools in Munich,
  • 440 school children and
  • around 20 teachers took part in the program while
  • 15 Akasha Academy members guided the children through their experience with
  • 5 elements.

The numbers clearly show growth and expansion, as well as our commitment to realizing the Akasha Education system.

Diversity is key

The Akasha Academy members dedicated their time, focus and intention to provide a unique learning experience for all participants. For this purpose, we have come together from a rich spectrum of professions and walks of life – medical professions, scientists, engineers, people from business and consultancy, communication experts. Every skill and every voice matters to protect the Earth we all share, and experiencing this firsthand is an integral part of the learning process.

Learnings and outlook

We also received valuable feedback, from both the class teachers and the children, which is helpful for the further development of our Global Guardians curriculum. Our pedagogical approach attracted the attention of teachers and provided inspiration for their work. The children’s feedback was rich in perspective and full of new ideas to be incorporated into our upcoming lessons.

We are looking forward to the opportunities that the new school year will bring and will continue to develop the Akasha Education program further!

We are grateful to Grundschule am Schererplatz and Grundschule am Winthirplatz for hosting the project days, and to the Stiftungsverwaltung of the City of Munich for their generous financial support, which made this project possible.
