Our guiding principle

What is Universal Ethics?

Universal Ethics is a guideline to employ common ground: As humans, we are different, but we are all part of this one planet – regardless of skin color, nationality, religion or social status. Every living being and all of existence is interlinked. What we do has an effect on others and others have an effect on us. This universal fact of life is our common ground, naturally connecting everyone. Recalling that in the face of global crises shows a way for the survival of our planet.

Interdependence

Everything in nature is interconnected, constantly affecting each other.

Common Ground

Interdependence is the foundation of all our existence: The undeniable common ground, which has to be acknowledged by everyone.

Balance

Employing Common Ground: Mediating between opposing forces to facilitate coexistence and the survival of humanity.

Roots of Universal Ethics

Universal Ethics became apparent through the remarkable diversity of Nepal’s society – where over 140 ethnic groups come together, all representing a different way of life.

Examples

How we integrate Universal Ethics

All what we do is based on Universal Ethics. With our programs, we make these principles tangible for people. Through experiencing, observing and understanding how they unfold in ourselves and around us, the skills and confidence necessary to protect our planet can be developed.

Akasha Training

Akasha Training is the physical practice of Universal Ethics and taught by TK Rinpoche. Exercises connecting body, mind, and breath allow silence to occur and enhance physical strength and resilience.

Global Guardians

What are the natural elements and how does everything consist of them? Do we find them only outside or also inside ourselves? In our Global Guardians education program, kids observe, analyze and draw their own conclusions – and come to experience how everything is interconnected.

Akasha Traineeship

Creating pathways for the future of our planet is only possible with the contribution of women and the space for them to unfold their natural capacity. The Akasha Traineeship provides a protected environment and the tools for young women in Nepal to build strength and confidence.

A place of regeneration

If nature thrives, we thrive. The headquarters in Nepal is a living example of that. It shows how human activity and deep respect for nature can go hand in hand – and serves as an inspiration for the whole surroundings.
