What connects us – Munich organizations active around the world

On Saturday, 15 November 2025, the Nord Süd Forum Munich e. V. and the City of Munich invite everyone to the fair München global solidarisch aktiv at the Cultural Center LUISE. Visitors can look forward to more than 40 interactive booths, talks, workshops, dance, and a colorful children’s program. Admission is free. Long Yang and Akasha Academy are taking part in the exhibition.  We will also present “Global Guardians” – a small workshop for children – experience the elements of nature through play (at 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.)

Small projects – big impact

The fair highlights how people in Munich and their partners around the world take responsibility and create tangible improvements — in education, climate protection, democracy building, human rights, and fair consumption.
At the heart of the event are small initiatives that have been active locally and globally for years. They prove that it doesn’t always take big politics to make change happen — everyone can make a difference with ideas and commitment.

What to expect

The fair offers an inspiring insight into Munich’s global engagement – with plenty of opportunities to explore, participate, and connect:

  • Theme areas on climate protection, human rights, fair trade, education, city partnerships, and more
  • Workshops, talks, and roundtables on global topics
  • Creative and hands-on activities for children, youth, and adults
  • Special highlight: Presentation of Munich’s city partnership with Harare (Zimbabwe) – featuring a short film and talks about joint climate and mobility projects
  • Akasha Academy: “Global Guardians” Workshop for Children – experience the elements of nature through play (at 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.)
  • Family-friendly atmosphere with a kids’ corner and food stands
