Akasha Life is a social business with the purpose to sustain life and to support its foundation. Profits of the social business support the projects of Akasha Academy in the fields of education, environmental protection, health promotion and women empowerment. The first local initiative is the Akasha Artisan Bakery opening in Suntakhan near Kathmandu/Nepal.

This summer, the enthusiastic and motivated education program manager of the Akasha Academy Nepal, Sushmita Sharma, traveled to Germany for an educational, intercultural exchange.

We are establishing a bakery to produce healthy snacks for schoolchildren in Nepal. In cooperation with public schools, we offer the baked goods as an alternative to the conventional range of sweets and additionally conduct workshops on nutrition.

In 2022, we continued with our projects with good energy and are also happy to share impressions of our new achievements.

NGOs can also make a difference at government level in development cooperation. Together with the Deutsch-Nepalische Gesellschaft e.V. (DNG) and the associations associated in the NGO Forum, a commitment over several years has led to success.
