Annual review 2025
January 8, 2026
2025 was an eventful year! We are delighted that you were with us. Enjoy a journey through the highlights of the past year.

ANCIENT RITUALS GERMANY
Offering hope and clarity in uncertain times
Around 100 guests attended the Bardo Ritual with Tulku Khyungdor Rinpoche in Munich in January. According to the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the ritual offers a guiding light for all intermediate states – dreams, and beyond. Guests were able to actively participate in the “Light Offering.”
Following the “Offering a beacon of light” at the Bardo Ritual, the Tshethar Ritual in July brought “Offering the gift of life” in the Schlosspark Gauting: Thousands of fish were given a life in freedom. The children were especially happy to help the fish on their way into the river Würm.
GLOBAL GUARDIANS GERMANY
Exploring and protecting the elements of nature
We are continuing to expand our educational programs in Germany. In spring, we conducted workshops on the elements of nature – water, fire, earth, air, and space – at two primary schools in Munich. Over three days, around 440 children playfully discovered how everything in life is connected to them.
GLOBAL GUARDIANS NEPAL
Empowering Nepali youth towards sustainable food systems
How is our health connected to the food that we eat and the soil in which it grows? 50 students from grades 5 to 8 from two public schools in Gokarneshwor experienced the interdependence between us and the environment by learning about the natural elements we all consist of and sustainable agriculture. In a kitchen gardening workshop, they applied their new knowledge practically, learning how to implement and share it in their daily lives.
AKASHA TRAINEESHIP NEPAL
Empowering women today for a better tomorrow
‘Educate. Enable. Empower.’ for making one’s own choices in life. To know what is cause and effect and to know what is sustaining life and what is harming it: The 4th batch of young ladies engaged in the 8-month program – ranging from health and environment-related learning sessions to on-hand skills, arts, dramas, and sustainable agriculture. An internship provided them with professional experience to make a well-informed choice about their future. All of this aims at increasing their self-confidence to unfold their full potential and drive a positive change in their communities.
DENTAL HEALTH CAMP NEPAL
Happy healthy smiles
Dental health awareness and access is not a given in Nepal. For some of the over 130 students at our health camp at Bhimdev Basic school it was their first dental checkup. Being our 4th health camp and the 1st with the focus on dental health, we are happy about the successful collaboration with Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital & Research Centre and the financial support which made it possible!
FIRST GUIDED HIKE NEPAL
Nepal, people, nature
In collaboration with Shanti Treks, we organized our first guided tour for a tourist group in the area of the Akasha Academy headquarters. Besides enjoying the beautiful nature and views over the outskirts of Kathmandu, it gave our international guests the chance to get closely in touch with Nepal, its people and to learn about our programs.
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY NEPAL
Greening the hills and collecting waste
70 kg of waste collected and almost 300 trees planted is our achievement of this year’s World Environment Day. 100 individuals – pupils from local schools, members from local community groups, Akasha trainees and staff from Akasha Academy – joined forces and skills to make this possible in just one day! It clearly shows how much we can achieve together.
Slow down, regenerate and reconnect
Our event program attracted over 500 guests throughout the year. We offer herbal sessions, creative workshops, and photo walks with the aim of creating space for slowing down and experiencing with all senses how we are part of nature. Akasha Training Workshops with TK Rinpoche are special opportunities for those seeking tools for stability and positive change – available only a few times a year.
AUDIOVISUAL JOURNEY GERMANY
Perception premieres with its first part “Paintings”
How do we find relaxation when our senses are constantly flooded with information? The art project “Perception” by Voice of Nature TK Rinpoche makes deeper levels of perception accessible again. The excellent sound technology of the Blitz Club provided ideal conditions for the two sold-out events with around 140 guests.
EDUCATION FOR 8,500 CHILDREN NEPAL
First winter school uniforms have been distributed
Happy faces on both sides as we were able to distribute the first winter school uniforms to pupils of local schools in Gokarneshwor. We are grateful for every contribution which makes this possible and enables us to offer environmental education to the students in the months to come. We still hope to reach our campaign target fully – to support all the children to unfold their potential. Your contribution makes a difference!
