Offering the gift of life
A sunny, warm summer evening created the perfect scene for the Tshethar ritual — an ancient practice which is deeply connected to nature and the appreciation of life. During the ritual, beings threatened with death are offered the gift of life in freedom. It is said that through this deep act of generosity, one’s own life force is also strengthened. Therefore, by helping others, one helps oneself.
TK Rinpoche has already been performing this special ritual for more than a decade and it is widely known in Gauting and the surrounding. We are happy that over 130 guests from all over the world participated in this unique event in the Park Schloss Fussberg this year again and took Rinpoche’s blessing home.
Also, a lot of families with children made their way to the ritual. Big and small guests were excited to help the fish find their way into the river Würm – their “new” home.
The global climate change affects many aspects of life, the same applies to the Tshethar ritual. As the well-being of the fish is our priority, we observe the local conditions such as water temperature carefully and are in touch with experts. We hope that we can welcome you at the Tshethar ritual next year again!
