Charity sewing workshop - Create unique, sustainable gift bags

December 15th, 2024
1:00 – 5:00 pm

Akasha Academy, Munich

Self sewn instead of quickly bought – a workshop to relax and work with your hands work and calm your mind.

Together we sew two versatile gift bags in various sizes and designs. Whether as gift packaging, a jewelry bag or a purse – there are no limits to your creativity. We use high-quality fabric remnants and thus protect valuable resources in times of “fast fashion”.

What is it about: During the workshop, we will show you the basics of sewing, such as how to use the sewing machine to simple sewing techniques with and without a sewing machine. You will also receive helpful tips and tricks for processing the fabrics. This event is suitable for beginners and advanced sewers, with and without a sewing machine.

Equipment: We will have 3 sewing machines and a basic set of accessories on site. You can also learn how to sew by hand – our two designs are easy to make. We will provide fabrics and consumables. We have collected valuable fabric remnants such as brocades & silks from Nepal and India for the workshop. Of course you can also bring your own fabrics.

Do you have your own sewing machine? Please bring it with you, as well as sewing accessories (scissors, tape measure, needles). This will help you to learn how to use your machine. If you do not have any equipment, please let us know when you register.

The proceeds from the workshop will benefit our projects in Nepal, such as the Healthy School Project.

We are looking forward to welcoming you!
