Environmental protection in the Suntakhan region

Autumn 2017: While providing basic commodities such as food, water, and energy to the residents of the Suntakhan region seems to be ensured, there is still a great deal of catching up to do when it comes to waste and wastewater management. We are currently aligning with the local administration to help to make a progress. Like other regions in Nepal, Suntakhan will be busy with these topics for a long time, as it involves a complex interaction of regional and national solutions, awareness and education, as well as funding. The motivation for development is high, because a clean environment is a prerequisite for sustainable tourism, and in addition, the Bagmati River, which has a sacred significance for Hindus, springs from the mountains of the Shivapuri national park in the Suntakhan region.
